Puzzles / Killer Sudoku

Sudoku with sums —
maths without the maths.

Instead of starting digits there are cages with a number: the digits inside must add up to it. It sounds like arithmetic, but in practice it is pure logic — and a fresh adventure for anyone who knows classic sudoku.

The rules
of killer sudoku.

  1. All the classic sudoku rules apply: digits 1–9 once in every row, column and 3×3 box.
  2. The grid is divided into cages outlined with a dashed line.
  3. The small number in the corner of a cage is the sum of the digits inside it.
  4. Digits cannot repeat within a cage.
